RCP21 is a pioneering Community Interest Company (CIC) that offers world-class economic development, business support and business collaboration services.

Established in 2011, we now include business and industrial park management and security services for parks in our portfolio.

Led by Mohan de Silva, former Chief Executive of Wakefield first, RCP21 offers a wealth of experience in attracting inward investment as well as business support and public sector business strategies. He has over 25 years of experience working with businesses and is one of the UK’s leading experts in regenerating business and industrial parks.

Project Director, Karen Harrison MBE, has a strong business background. She has worked in the private sector for many years. Karen’s strong partnership and research skills, along with an excellent understanding of business and local communities, makes her a valuable asset to RCP21.

Together, they lead an experienced in-house team that supports RCP21’s clients. We also have access to a team of specialists who offer advice and expertise in a wide range of professions including research, development, communications, law and finance.

We were established in 2011 after the reorganisation of Wakefield first to continue to deliver and develop regional and European projects that target businesses on business and industrial parks in the Yorkshire and Humber region.

RCP21 has since developed a reputation for successfully working with organisations on business and industrial parks as a specialist in this field.

We have helped attract investment and driven regeneration of business parks and also began to manage the daily delivery of services to the 120 businesses on Langthwaite Business Park in 2011.

Over the past decade, we have worked in collaboration with many organisations on business parks across the region, which has led to successful and valuable partnerships. We have also supported businesses outside of business parks.

We have helped public sector agencies successfully engage with businesses and effectively target their resources to assist economic growth and job creation.

Our bespoke services to businesses planning to increase performance, competitiveness and meeting corporate objectives have helped individual companies and groups of organisations working in collaboration.

This experience has also led to RCP21 offering Business Improvement District scoping, development and delivery. We have successfully managed the Langthwaite Business Association’s BID over two terms.
